Chemung County has a huge lack of affordable accessible housing. Too many households are struggling with rising housing costs, aging properties, and limited accessible options. Chemung County needs to continue working with community partners/local organizations to expand already existing programs such as supporting housing and first time home buyer programs. People deserve to have the ability to live with dignity in the community they call home.

Chemung County needs to ensure that funds are being used appropriately to ensure that services are being provided to help build up our community. We need to ensure that people have access to mental health services, child care, food security, and dental and health care. By preventing crisis, we can create more stable neighborhoods. Ensuring people have access to preventative support, reduces long-term costs and strengthens economic stability.
Government Transparency
People need to know what is happening in Chemung County. Decisions, budgets, and policies need to be easily accessible to community members so that everyone can understand how taxes and funds are being used. When information is easy to find and clearly communicated, more people can show up, speak out , and contribute to shaping their community.
Invest in Public Works
By prioritizing public works, Chemung County will not just fix infrastructure problems, they will prevent future costs, create good-paying jobs, and attract businesses. By having well maintained roads, bridges, water systems, public buildings, and parks; we can strengthen long-term stability and quality of life.
